Chasing your fish

If you want to chase down a fish, take note of the number between square brackets.

!fish 99You will get a fair chance of finding that fish again, so if you don’t see it, try and try again!
Battle Phases
Section titled “Battle Phases”To catch a fish, you must win against the fish across three challenges. Just like in real fishing.
These steps will play out in real time before your very eyes:
- Lure: First and foremost, the lure must be alluring to the fish. Fish have varied taste and some fish are more cunning than others.
- Hook: An interested fish will take a bite, but it might escape the hook if it succeeds its saving though.
- Line: This is where the real battle begins. A test of strength and stamina occurs until either the fish gets away, or you reel it in.
Complete all three steps and you got yourself a new fish!

Fresh water
Section titled “Fresh water”Fish found in fresh waters are easiest to encounter. Keep fishing, there are plenty more where these come from.

After purchasing a rod, it will be revealed on screen. Some rods are better than others. Rods have several attributes that are randomly assigned. The example above shows a freshly crafted uncommon fishing rod with 12 hook, 15 lure and 17 line.
Rarity: Rods can be common, uncommon, rare, epic, or legendary.
Rarity gives an attribute bonus to hook, lure and line.
Hook: How likely you’ll hook a speedy fish.
Lure: How likely you’ll lure a cunning fish.
Line: How easily a fish will lose stamina.
